As predicted by many last week, Up has now climbed into 2nd place on Pixar’s all time Box office list (domestic). After the final weekend numbers came in, Up now stands at $264.8 million. It moved ahead of The Incredibles on Friday. For awhile, it looked like Up had a shot at $300 million in domestic box office, but I don’t think that’s likely any longer (due to theater count drops and Ice Age taking away some of its business). I think it should finish its run with around $275 million, but it may still have an outside chance at $300 million. It really doesn’t matter, Up has been a huge success (both critically and commercially) and should be a huge DVD/Blu-ray seller this fall.
