John Lasseter’s Where the Wild Things Are Animation Test!

I’m sure you’ve heard about John Lasseter’s computer animation test that he did back for Where the Wild Things Are, right? This was during his original stint with Disney back in 1982/1983. The 30 second test film (created with legendary Disney animator Glen Keane) blended traditional hand-drawn character animation with computerized camera movements and environment. Chris Wedge (with went on to direct Ice Age and Robots also helped to model the environment and block out the scene). I never thought this would see the light of day, but user kurtori posted it on You Tube a few years back (from a 1984 Disney Channel documentary) and I just stumbled across it. Enjoy!
