I was browsing through the latest issue of Home Media Magazine as they were looking back at 30 years of home video and I was surprised to discover that Finding Nemo is still the #1 Selling DVD of All Time! (Cars is #4). It has sold a staggering 40 million copies since its release. Incidentally, it’s also the #1 DVD Rental of All Time too! I’m not sure that the sales record will ever be broken. It was released at the height of DVD’s popularity and with all the alternative methods available now (iTunes, DVD, Blu-ray, Netflix, etc.), so I’m not sure that record will ever be broken. Let’s cross our fingers for a gorgeous Blu-ray release in 2010!
