More Pixar films are included on various Best of the Decade lists. Here’s the latest round of honors:
- The Oklahoma Daily shares their Top 50 of the Decade. WALL-E lands at #39, Ratatouille at #29 and Up makes it all the way to #13.
- The Times Online Best Films of the Decade includes The Incredibles at #16
- The Daily Mail has their Noughties’ 50 Best Movies with some old Pixar favorites making the cut. Here’s what they said:
37. Ratatouille
An endearing tale of a celeb-ratty chef with a story that covers with intelligence the ideas that artistic genius can be found in the most unlikely places, that it’s tempting but wrong to take credit for others’ efforts, and that good, informed criticism should be valued far more highly than it is. Hooray!
18. Finding Nemo
No matter what your age, you’ll fall for this animated masterpiece. It’s charmingly acted, beautifully scripted and pacily directed, with a wit and invention that raise it to the highest level of film-making.
4. The Incredibles
A very funny comedy and thrillingly entertaining adventure, which raised animated film to a new level. It’s also a witty - and timely - satire on the kind of knee-jerk egalitarianism that results in mediocrity and a system that rewards failure while stopping people being the best they can be.
