By now, you’ve probably heard of the new book, The Wisdom of Pixar by Robert Velarde. While the book takes a Christian slant to the first ten Pixar films, it’s really spends the most of the book exploring common themes such as character, courage, humor, friendship and love. You’ll notice very quickly while reading this book that the author is a huge Pixar geek like the rest of us. His enthusiasm, passion and awe for Pixar’s filmography is evident. The book is broken into twelve chapters with each one focusing on a specific theme (and in most cases) one film.
Whether you are a Christian or not, you will find much to love and enjoy about this book. Robert Velarde is certainly not preaching here and his insights into Pixar’s films are valuable.
