It’s official. Pete Docter’s next Pixar film will be called Inside Out. It joins the long line of short and sweet titled Pixar films.  This news comes from Coming Soon and should be officially confirmed by Disney-Pixar shortly…

Here’s what we know so far about Pete’s film (co-directed by Ronnie del Carmen), which is due for release on June 19,2015:

Pixar takes audiences on incredible journeys into extraordinary worlds: from the darkest depths of the ocean to the top of the tepui mountains in South America; from the fictional metropolis of Monstropolis to a futuristic fantasy of outer space. From director Pete Docter (Up and Monsters, Inc.) and producer Jonas Rivera (Up), the inventive new film will take you to a place that everyone knows, but no one has ever seen: the world inside the human mind.

The reason I think this film will be great: Pixar’s famous amounts of research. I have no doubt in my mind they’ve brought some kind of nueroscientist on board as a consultant as well as meticulous research about the brain. They probably have even dissected a few brains to be honest!

Pete will know exactly how to translate that research into something wonderfully creative.

agreed Kevin. Anything with Pete, I’m in 100%!
