Ratatouille 3D Blu-ray Released in UK and France!

Ratatouille 3D Blu-ray (UK)

Ratatouille is the latest Pixar film to receive a 3D conversion. The (already classic) Brad Bird film was recently released on 3D Blu-ray in the UK and France (UK image above). Unfortunately, this is Region locked and not playable on U.S. players. Hopefully the rumored U.S. release will see the light of day by the end of year. (an early box art image is below).

I’ve heard rumblings that The Incredibles and A Bug’s Life have also been converted to 3D and should see a future Blu-ray release too. While I’m not personally a 3D fan, it’s nice to have these available for those that are.

I don’t think you did the proper research. This is a quote from

The Pixar Perspective On 3D Re-releases

March 18, 2014 by Josh Spiegel

The Incredibles and Ratatouille are both being prepped for 3D re-releases, according to Josh Hollander, Pixar’s director of 3D production. While attending the 3D Creative Summit in London, Hollander said that both of Brad Bird’s Pixar films are being “worked on” in 3D, though he admits he doesn’t know (or he’s just not sharing) the release strategy for either film. Logic would dictate, of course, that we’ll get that Incredibles re-release later this year, to celebrate the film’s 10th anniversary.

Amazon UK and Amazon Canada are selling supposed 3D versions but how can they exist if the story from Pixartimes is true. The same story all reported around March 17 say the same thing. Ratatouille is being converted to 3D but they do not have a release date. Plus that release date will be Theatrical not Blu ray.

You should do a story about this fake 3D versions are being sold

    Thank you

  2. The blu ray in the UK is legit.

    Thanks Greg

It seems confusing. Have your watched the 3D version? I haven’t come across anyone who has.

It’s odd that a major release like this would not occur in North America as well.

    Thanks for taking the time

  4. movies are released on other countries all the time that aren’t available here. Frozen is out on 3D in many countries, but not here.
