Good! Both these guys need to get back into full action at Pixar, working on stories they really care about... Sequels and Fairy Tales just don't cut it for me. Any more buzz on that Untitle Brain project yet?

It would be really appreciated if you quoted the artists you take inspiration from. Like, Italo Calvino in this case.

I imagine, given that they're both working on huge projects at the moment, that the short would be more comedy than anything else - which would be great to see. I see it turning out more like One Man Band than La Luna.

Can't wait to see it either way.

This is tantalizing news. Imagine what more they are bringing to the table with working on live action features, intriguing projects and what they might inspire in each other by working together on this idea they've had for a while. Very cool, can't wait!

It really was a wonderful, luscious viewing experience. At times it was like an incredible painting had come to life. So beautiful!

Looks nice... I wonder if the close resemblance to Super mario Galaxy was intentional?

Saw "La Luna" tonight as part of the Animated Shorts presentation that was released to theaters on Friday. If you go to shorts.tv and click on the link for the Live Action/Animated Nominated Shorts programs, you might find it playing in a nearby city.

"La Luna" was absolutely wonderful, magical and original. The splot was very unexpected! The winner will either be this or an equally wonderful short, "The Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore" (which you can find on Vimeo under Moonbot Studios at least as of a week ago.)

I wish that, if they're going to make up a "Phot0 Realistic Image" they would actually make it realistic... you know so it shows the seams an imperfections, instead of a posed photo os a nuclear family of white folks composited into cartoon cars over a digitally-painted background...
