Pete Docter & Andrew Stanton Teaming Up for Pixar Short?

Yes! It appears so, according this Andrew Stanton interview with Ain’t It Cool News. Here’s the quote:

“As a matter of fact I’m developing a short film with Pete Docter. There’s an idea that he and I have had for years that we are finally getting around to doing which is kind of funny. We are both way too busy, but we just love the idea of doing this one little project together and then I’ve been… I executive produce a lot of the films over there and so I spend a lot of… People keep thinking I’ve been away from there, but I actually have been on campus for the last year and a half just helping watch over other stuff, but I don’t have a feature film of my own that’s an animated Pixar film that’s coming up soon, no. That’s a ways away.”

Great news, huh? We will have to see how soon this comes to fruition with the very busy schedules of both of these directors.

Share your thoughts! Are you excited? What’s your dream Docter/Stanton short film idea?

Up 3D Blu-ray Due May 1st

In an early announcement to retailers, Disney-Pixar will release Up on 3D Blu-ray on May 1st in North America (it was already released in the UK on January 9th). Much like the recent Toy Story and Cars 2 3D Blu-ray releases, the combo pack will include 3D, 2d, a standard DVD and digital copy. Here’s a crummy, early picture of the box art. Stay tuned for more details, but I wouldn’t expect any new extras. UK Box art is below.
